Killer Joe is a blast, a funny and intense thriller.

Andrey, I was thinking about some horror books and novels that I’ve read over the years, horror was a genre that I read a lot when I was learning English. You were saying that you also like reading those sort of stories and I was wondering which were some of your favorites.

I keep notebooks of all the English language books I’ve ever read and went through a few of them earlier today in order to choose some horror tales that I’ve enjoyed over the years. Here is a short list, maybe you’re familiar with one or two:

The Haunting of Hill House (Shirley Jackson)
The Bloody Chamber (Angela Carter)
The Turn of the Screw (Henry James)
Salem’s Lot (Stephen King)
Intensity (Dean Koontz)
House of Leaves (Mark Z Danielewski)
Communion (Whitley Streiber)
Frankenstein (Mary Shelley)
Something Wicked this Way Comes (Ray Bradbury)
The Other (Thomas Tyron)
The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym (Edgar Allen Poe)
From Hell (a comic book by Alan Moore)

I didn’t include any titles by HP Lovecraft because we’ve already discussed how brilliant he was at creating weird imagery. I hope you’re doing well, take care of yourself and keep writing.

Sucks they didn’t have the money to give this movie what it deserved, but I still love it
