the first part of “On the Silver Lake” is the best use of found footage in movie history. It’s also perfectly understandable, after that it turns into a beautiful and intense mess

Finally some love for Knight of Cups! It is an indescribable, strange, moving, masterpiece. I felt alienated towards the beginning but of course that was the intention and as the film progressed I became more and more engrossed in not just the lives but also the technical aspects. And god those voiceovers! Like only Ma lick could do them.
