Agree. Most situations were not interesting at all. The characters were just… meh.. It almost felt like the movie needed an electricity impulse or something to make it come back to life. Because it was a lifeless experience. So boring.

I made it 20 minutes or so. Ugly, dreary and valueless. Using shock value as a substitute for originality and creativity. Sci-fi used to be an inspiration to improve the human condition and solve complex problems; not portray bleak a future where humans degenerate into banal flesh-obsessed cretins.

After Yang it’s so bland… the characters are boring. Nothing really interesting happens. There’s not a single remarkable scene.

The concept it’s interesting, but the execution was so… vanilla. Not even the interactions or dialogue between the characters were something to remember..

Kogonada’s previous film (Columbus) was so much better. I cared about the characters on that one

After Yang was decent but I feel like the (excellent) music score was doing most of the emotional heavy-lifting. Under the Skin stands up better purely for its own quality, and will be remembered for longer I think

But Crimes Of The Future was a major disappointment for me. Nope it’s good or… decent, but nothing extraordinary.

Most of the films from this list were either a disappointment or just not that interesting.
