Swap those two at least…

Blade Runner doesn’t do it for me… There are many problems with the film but let me start with the positives. First, the setting is great. The futuristic city they built is beautiful and amazingly huge in scope. In addition, the general feel of the film is cool, the sound and the lighting are just perfect. The acting is also solid, even tho Harrison Ford wasn’t specially inspired there. However, beyond this, the film is a trainwreck. The story is terrible. It is simple trying to be overly complex and at times nearly impossible to follow, even if you pay attention. The action is stupid and poorly done. The script is lacking as well. The film is not slow, but it never really hooks you in, so i was never made to care about anything that happened. I can understand how this film became super influential, but i can’t understand how people praise it soo much. In the end, the first thing that came to my mind was – what if the film creators thought “wow this is such an incredible landscape we’ve created, now lets quickly write a story!” I get that intellectually intriguing side of the film, but it could be done better.

I’m in the camp that loves Only God Forgives for its visuals as I felt it owed more to Valhalla Rising than Drive.

That’s not unpopular.

Aside (maybe) from Watchmen, his movies are so ugly…
So, they are just Ugly and Terrible.

Guy Ritchie should stick with brain-dead action flicks.
He’s a talented stylist, but also a moron.

I don’t agree, but you could argue that I guess.
It’s not easy to find a big budget film that it’s both visually stunning and intellectually intriguing. Two things that go in opposite directions when it comes to big money.
Blade Runner is quite a feat for that matter.

“Do it better, then!”
That’s so childish…

Ah, the ol’ “if you haven’t made a movie, you can’t criticize them” argument. If that were true, this cite and most other review sites wouldn’t exist.
