It misappropriates the term. And the worst thing is that it comes at top of google search and hence google suggests rashomon effect movies according to it.

The Outrage is indeed a quasi-remake of Rashomon, so it’s an obvious one. Gone Girl is more he said/she said, it’s not multiple versions or point of views, so for me it doesn’t count.
