Cisco Pike is on youtube. I haven’t watched it yet but the picture quality looks good when I just skipped through and looked at various scenes.

I’ll add some 70s crime flicks that are great and lesser known:
The Laughing Policeman (Mathau and Bruce Dern)
Short Eyes (devastating prison drama)
Freebie and the Bean (Caan and Alan Arkin)
Busting (Elliott Gould and Robert Blake)
Across 110th Street (Tarantino kinda rejuvenated this)
Born to Win (a precursor to Good Time)
Payday (Rip Torn ripping through America as a degen singer)

I’ve been meaning to watch Flic Story, for such a long time. I keep seeing this one in many lists lately. One of those coincidences.

So thanks for reminding me. Alain Delon + Jean-Louis Trintignant? It doesn’t get much better than this.

Great recommendations!

Joe
Milano Calibro 9
Cisco Pike
Charley Varrick

As for the ones I did see, I think those are great and well appreciated between movie lovers, maybe not mainstream mega popular movies.

By the way, I love Rolling Thunder. Such a badass movie. So depressing and poignant at times, with terrific performances. The line from the main character, where he says: “when I was alive” still gives me goosebumps till this day. Such a way of describing lack of hope, sorrow and the consequences of major ptsd.
Definitely a hunting movie

Haven’t seen either but the Affleck has Jessica Alba and she is just… not a terrific actress (being nice here). If the first is good I’ll give it a go

Watching the first The Killer Inside Me tonight. Heard it was better than the Casey Affleck version. Stacy Keach stars.

She kinda has Bel Powley eyes. Not the colour, but the wideness
