Look… if your going to do it, DO IT. Separate films by genre/category. Otherwise it's nothing but a waste of time, like this list.

The value of such a lists is only to introduce readers to some movies they may find worth watching, and why, but haven't yet watched.
That said, if you haven't watched The Big Lebowski (in the runners up), it's like… you're rating Italian food, without having tried lasagna.

It's funny, but I started watching The Sixth Sense and got about 10-15 minutes in and went "Oh, Bruce Willis is dead." I turned it off and went to do something else. It's far from a perfect movie.

Usually gets overshadowed by the Eastwood films but it’s really great.

Ok Spacy,
So what if Kubrick wanted to do his own thing, then do something else, would you support taking a shit on the mona lisa and calling it art?
2001 is absolutely meaningless to me, a snoozefest of epic boredom. The premise is a bunch of unrelated images and a flying bone that images into a flying space station, so what? I am not the only person who finds it meaningless and dull. Far from a perfect film.
As for changing the source material, that’s FINE but changing the motivation of a character fucks up the plot and if the audience is jumping at the fucking date appearing, it is just stupid and not as simple as changing the source material. Plus Kubrick tortured Shelly Duvall for weeks for nothing special.
