The social commentary of Parasite is a key part of it and it executes it very well. That’s as valid a reason to vote for it as anything. Your criticisms of it frankly make no sense.

I think you need to actually read instead of scan for words that trigger you. You clearly have some daddy issues and that shows.

I mean you could make the same argument about Tarantino’s film – a lot of people will vote for it just because it was directed by internet ‘movie nerd’ messiah Quintin Tarantino. And a lot of academy voters will like it because it deals with Hollywood history and the boomer generational touchstone Manson Murders.

Both movies are incredible and I can see how someone can pick parasite as a better film. Even if it wins it deserves it. However there are going to be some people who pick Parasite over Once Upon.. just for the politics of it and that is wrong. It seems that everything is being awarded to pander and not just to award the Art that was made.

It is a better movie.
