Yes! Real squibs splattering gore in a slo-mo death ballet. None of that digital John Wick shit. Hill builds the tension and suspense that explodes into the violent sequences, which have consequences. The aforementioned Wick films are dumb fun, but slaughtering 20 pony-tailed goons in one minute ain’t the same as the carnage an old school director like Hill or Peckinpah create in a fun engaging thrill ride. Always a great re-watch to dig up every few years.
