Too bad about Orson Welles’ one, that casting was perfect.

I haven’t seen Kon Tiki and with the exception of a couple of films by Lean in Summertime and This Happy Breed along with a short film from 1979 as I haven’t seen them yet. To me, Ryan’s Daughter is Lean’s weakest film due to the baffling and unnecessary presence of John Mills’ character, Christopher Jones’ performance, and some of aspects of the narrative as I felt it was weak.

The weakest Lean film I thought, that rape tangent was weird too. Ever see Kon Tiki(2012)? If you had the illustrated book a kid it is a real treat.
