He has a lot of masterpieces. Knife in the Water, Repulsion, Rosemary’s Baby, Chinatown, The Tenant, Tess. I don’t think Frantic is anyway near their level.

The average Marvel viewer would never give these films a chance. Attention spans have become far too short. They don't want to be challenged. They want to be spoonfed plotpoints right up to a predictable conclusion, with plenty of special effects. These trends are always cyclical though. Their will be a time for real films again, it just ain't now.

I think it’s a great list. I haven’t seen several of these either, and I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s having watched probably at least 500 films from that era.
