I believe Twelve Monkeys (is much, much better than La Jetée. And while I think The Departed is a solid film its nowhere near as good as either Infernal Affairs or Infernal Affairs 2 as the Departed borrows from both films.

I will very much give The Pledge though, very good film

The Ring (2002) I actually preferred over both Ringu and Ring (1995)

The monsoon scene with the truck full of nitro-leaking dynamite sticks swaying on a rickety bridge was one of the greatest nail-biting scenes ever filmed. I think I’ll watch this weekend- haven’t seen it in 40 years! Nice crisp 1080p copy too.

I came here just to comment I was surprised The Ring didn’t make it (to me it’s superior).
I disagree with Let Me In bashing. It’s a very solid film in its own rank – although yes, inferior to the original.
