Many of the films here are very depressing, very bleak. Point Blank is in a totally different category. The actors are at the top of their game, as is the director. The non linear filming works amazingly well. It’s the only way the film could have been made. The cinematography is perfect (film baby, not digital). I have watched this many times, every time is like watching it the first time. There are no weak actors, no weak shots, it’s as close to a perfect film as you will ever see.

fear and loathing i would DEFINITELY qualify as psychedelic tho. mescaline, lsd…adrenachrome 🙂 these are all mind expanding and take up large portions of the film.

i’m largely with you. psychedelic to me is trippy visuals that emulate mind-manifesting phenomena, much like an actual experience. perhaps GREATEST PSYCHEDELIC SCENES would have been more appropriate a list.
