I disagree with all premises in your comment. Penned by Jerome Bixby, the script is far from amateur by definition. The movie couldn’t be farther from a pop culture obsession. And I don’t understand what the movie has to do with film writers ‘on the net.’

Practice empathy. Emotion is best used when presenting an argument, not creating one. To illustrate: I don’t wish to judge you; I aim to understand how your feeble ambition to render your opinion as objective here doesn’t define you as a person.

So true. Some of the writing and acting in this movie made me cringe.

Sorry I love that movie. The story is unique. Most of the time when they deal with Immortality it is all about how many famous people can you reference. So much of his life was just a normal view of the world around him just with a much longer perspective. He did not become godlike or infinitely wise.

He was just a man who lived a very long time.

There is no such thing as overrated. You just don’t wish to accept a whole bunch of people see things differently than you so you dismiss their opinion.

I thought the same about the acting, the directing wasn’t good at all.
