It’s my personal favourite of this century so far, although falls short of being as amazing as the first GitS film. It’s nearly a perfect sequel. I wouldn’t argue with Spirited Away being #1 tho, although I think Millennium Actress could also easily be number 1. All of Satoshi Kon’s movies are awesome, although Perfect Blue from the previous century is arguably still his best work (Paprika was the first Satoshi Kon work I ever saw, but as much as I loved it I’d still say his other movies are better).

Metropolis is also damn good and deserving of a spot, but I still prefer Fritz Lang’s 1927 film.
