The conservative democrat (contradictory term) politician as he described himself wasn’t particularly intelligent, but I liked his probing curiosity toward the scientist, of whom made me incessantly annoyed by her environmentalist extremism. The movie caused a heavy and serious conversation with my then girlfriend at the time and heavily contributed to us ending our 5-year relationship a few months later. I think it is a very thoughtful and impactful film that should have been placed on the list ahead of “Blade Runner,” which I don’t consider to be significantly noteworthy for being classified as philosophical.

That animated movie is more philosophical than most non-animated movies.
