A quiet place had several unexpected nail biting moments.
I believe I’ve watched Cam about 3 . 5 times now. I love it. I love the MC. I mostly watched it because I enjoyed her character on handmaid’s tale. I’m pretty certain that I watched the house that Jack built . I only say that because horror movies that I don’t want to watch again are ones that leave me asking myself if I actually like horror or was this just very extreme. A movie of a very similar name I could never watch again.. that movie..I couldn’t get myself to watch anything other than cartoons for a month after that. Hereditary is a movie I’ve seen 3 times. It’s definitely under the category of being able to watch it while doing house chores etc as I sometimes feel like half Watching or rewatching horror movies. The favorite was strange but I really enjoy strange. Isle of dogs was very emotional as well as beautifully impactful. I still can’t bring myself to watch much more than the first five to ten minutes after I saw it in theaters with a friend. Suspiria ..I watched I think a little more than half. I didn’t watch all of it at once. I watched roughly 20 minutes at a time and it hit a point where I couldn’t continue as much as I would’ve enjoyed reaching the conclusion on my own. Roma was beautiful..not much else I can say.

Name more than ten great movies that year.

I must disagree with you about A Quiet Place; it is a film rich with tension and suspense, and it presents several pieces of resoundingly poignant commentary about parenthood.

Mandy is also pure garbage for being – in parts – almost bearable, but way overrated (and in parts real shit).

Anyway, my first thought was: that actress who plays the girl in Cam is sooo hot, and she was presented in the right way to sell that. The movie is also decent (I would guess it gets some hate for making people think critically ever so slightly, or selling sadistic, voyeuristic habits in a negative way, which is very controversial).

Annihilation is excellent, and I love that it gives a broader stage to “Weird Fiction”, which until GoT on HBO was one of the biggest trends in “fantasy” and some science fiction, and you also really show an understanding of it.

I thought 2010, 2011, and 2012 were pretty great. 2013 and 2014 were excellent. 2015 was fairly solid as well. Everything after that though…
