Been crushing old/underseen genre-crime flicks lately:
Freebie and the Bean (RIP Alan Arkin!)
Fast Walking (unhinged James Woods)
Bustin (Elliott Gould and Robert Blake buddy comedy??)
Walking the Edge (Robert Forster does Death Wish)

I’ve been trying to recall the title of Let the Corpses Tan for a while, I remember seeing it when it came out and it being pretty damn awesome

That voice….Trying to find his earlier films like Gypsy Girl (1966) and Freelance (1971).

I even like the Cannon flicks he was churning out in the 1980s. The ending of The Mechanic is not to be missed. Another Bronson banger is Hard Times which I feel I can mention since it’s sort of crime related as there are several criminal elements playing a major role in the film.

Saw Sexy Beast and couldn’t believe how amazing Ian McShane is in it. Absolutely terrifying figure who oozed menace and pretty much stole the show in my opinion.

I’ve seen four of these, some solid gritty seventies films all always fun. Going to see a few more.
Some more 1970’s greats are:
Villain (1971) Richard Burton hams it up as Vic Dakin- a flamboyant London gangster, vaguely modeled after real-life hood Ronnie Kray.
Sitting Target (1972) Harry Lomart (Oliver Reed) escapes from prison (one of the best ever filmed) to get revenge on his cheating wife. (Jill St. John).
Both films costar Ian McShane with sweet Mod hair in training to play the greatest villain ever on film: Al Swearengen.
